Foxguild is a small art licensing studio. This site collects only what you choose to send through its forms, uses it to answer you, and never sells it. This page explains the details in plain language.
Who we are
Foxguild (“Foxguild”, “we”, “us”) is an art licensing studio owned by Richard Fox in Portland, Oregon, USA. For any privacy question or request, email hello@foxguild.studio.
What we collect
We only collect information you type into a form on this site:
- Licensing inquiries: your name, company, email, inquiry type, category of interest, your brief, and any pieces you shortlisted.
- Archive access requests: your name, role, company, company website, email, type of business, the collections you’re sourcing, your message, and how you found us.
- Lookbook downloads: your name, email, company, and (optionally) type of business.
- Archive Selections (licensing partners only): your name, company, email, notes, and the list of works you selected.
- Newsletter sign-up: your email address.
Each form also has a hidden spam-trap field that people never see. If you tick “Email me the lookbook,” we record that choice so we can send it.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry or brief and discuss licensing or custom work.
- To review archive access requests and send login details to approved licensing partners.
- To send you the lookbook if you asked for it by email.
- To send occasional updates about new collections and licensing to people who signed up for them or requested the lookbook. Every update can be declined: reply “unsubscribe” or email us and you’ll be removed.
We don’t sell, rent, or trade your information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
Who handles it for us
We use a few service providers to run the site. They process data only to provide their service:
- Netlify hosts this website, receives form submissions, and runs the small functions behind the private archive and lookbook emails. Like any web host, it processes technical request data such as IP addresses.
- Zoho Mail hosts our email. Form submissions are forwarded to our inbox, and lookbook emails are sent from it.
- Google Fonts supplies the site’s typefaces, so your browser requests font files from Google, which receives your IP address as part of that request.
Cookies and browser storage
We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don’t track you across other sites. The site stores a few small items in your own browser (“local storage”) so its features work: your shortlist of pieces, your archive Selections, and a note that you’ve already requested the lookbook or signed in to the archive, so you aren’t asked again. This information stays on your device. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
For licensing partners, archive Selections are also saved on our server against your company’s login, so your team sees the same list.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries and correspondence as long as needed to work with you and for normal business records. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop sending you updates. Email hello@foxguild.studio and we’ll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example California, the EU, or the UK), you may have additional rights under local law, and we’ll honor them.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, the private archive is password-protected, and archive images are low-resolution previews only. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect to what we need.
Children
This site is for businesses that license art. It isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
